I wanted to talk to you today and try to help with one of the biggest hurdles that stop marketers from even trying to setup a funnel.

THE LEAD MAGNET!

If you remember from Monday’s email, your Lead Magnet is the valuable thing that you give away as a bribe to get people to give you their email address and start in your funnel. Most peo

ple hate to write, or get writer’s block just trying to think about what kind of report they could create to use as a bribe.

It doesn’t have to be that hard. You can do it without anti-anxiety drugs.

First of all, realize that the best lead magnet reports are short … usually just a couple of pages of text. You aren’t writing an ebook here. In fact, there are lots of reasons why you DON’T want to make it too long.

The most important reason for a short lead magnet is because you want people to actually read it, not just download it and store it on their hard drive. When they read it, they get a benefit that they will attribute to you. If they never read it because it is too long and they put it off until later, then you don’t have a chance to impress them.

Keep your lead magnet short and focus on a few tips that help solve whatever problem you feel is keeping your ideal prospect up at night. If you help people get more traffic for their websites, then maybe your report could be “5 Ways to Double Your Traffic in 30 Days.”

Pick the title of the report first so that it will attract the attention of the visitors that have the problem that you are helping them solve.

Once you have a great and compelling title, then write the report to match it. Do some google research and come up with a list of 5 items. Write a paragraph or two about each of the 5 items on your list and … ta da … your Lead Magnet is written.

People love numbered lists and using a numbered list makes it easy to write.
